Terms and Conditions of Service

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made and services offered through the Ride Transfers website and all associated websites, as well as to bookings made by telephone, fax, email, agent or any other communication mechanism.

Reservations

The driver has the right to terminate the run without a refund (if there is blatant indiscretion from the client(s)).

Smoking is strictly not permitted in any of our vehicles.

Waiting time charges will apply after the first 15 minutes of prearranged booking confirmation.

Vehicles cannot be loaded beyond seating capacity.

The company will email confirmation of Bookings to the email address provided by the client at the time of Booking. The Company will not accept any liability if the client fails to advise the Company of the incorrect information provided.

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure all details of the Booking are correct and that the Company is contacted within 24 hours of the client making a Booking, by return email only, to correct any errors or to advise the Company of any changes to the Booking that are required.

PLEASE NOTE: If you cannot locate the driver and choose not to contact our office at +64 22 655 6269 and instead take alternative transport, you will be liable for the transfer cost.

Payment for Travel

  1. All travel must be paid for before the first date of travel.
  2. Credit Card payments are accepted but an additional charge of 2% will apply to all Visa and Mastercard credit card transactions, and American Express transactions will incur a 4% additional charge.
  3. We can also supply our bank details for payment by Internet bank transfer if required.

Prices

  1. All prices are shown in NZ dollars and include GST.
  2. A surcharge of 25% will apply on public holidays
  3. If the incorrect price is given at the time of booking, Ride Transfers reserves the right to collect the correct amount before travel commences.
  4. Rates quoted are for addresses within 10 kilometres of the location selected. Should your address prove to be beyond this range then we reserve the right to charge an additional $2.49 per kilometre if a longer transfer distance is required.
  5. Ride Transfers reserves the right to change its prices at any time, however, existing bookings already made will be honoured at the original price at the time of booking.

Travel Booking Changes, Cancellations or Delays

  1. Ride Transfers takes no responsibility for any scheduled flight changes (i.e., earlier arrivals/delays).
  2. Any changes to your travel plans or known scheduled flight changes should be advised to us as soon as possible.
  3. Failure to do so could mean your taxi will leave without you, and you will have to wait for the next available taxi. (NB: this does not apply to private bookings.)
  4. All flight arrival times are monitored, and Ride Transfers endeavors to accommodate late arrivals where possible. However, you may be required to wait for the next available scheduled transfer should the original taxi need to leave without you. Please be aware that this may not be until the following day. (NB: this will not apply to private charter bookings.) This private transfer will be done at no extra cost. Should the private transfer be declined by the passenger, this will result in the booking being non-refundable.
  5. All bookings made by the passenger incorrectly via the online booking system or via telephone will be non-refundable (i.e., incorrect pickup/departure dates, incorrect pickup/departure times).
  6. Cancellation of a booking after it has been confirmed but advised more than 7 days prior to the expected collection time will incur a $50 per booking cancellation fee plus any surcharge fees.
  7. Cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice but more than 48 hours prior to travel will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
  8. Cancellations made within 48 hours of collection time are non-refundable.
  9. Bookings may be changed to an open-dated ticket, valid for 6 months only from the date of change and will become non-refundable if not used during this period.

Luggage Allowance

  1. The luggage allowance is one small (carry-on) and one large suitcase (up to 30 kgs) per PAYING PASSENGER.
  2. Additional standard-size luggage items are carried at our discretion and must be pre-booked and pre-paid.
  3. If, upon pick-up, you have more luggage than was originally booked or notified, we reserve the right to charge an additional $20 per item. This can be paid to your driver at the time of pick-up.
  4. Oversized (or extra heavy items) such as surfboards, cycles, golf clubs etc. will be carried if pre-booked, and the size and description must be disclosed at the time of booking.
  5. It is important to notify Ride Transfers of any extra items before pick-up, as we may not have sufficient luggage space available.
  6. Ride Transfers reserve the right to refuse carriage of luggage items that have not been booked or notified prior to pick-up.
  7. You may be required to assist our driver in loading your luggage.

On-board Behaviour

  1. All passengers are obliged to remain seated whilst the vehicle is moving and ensure their seat belt is fastened at all times, as per New Zealand law.
  2. Smoking, eating, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages is not permitted in any of Ride Transfer’s vehicles.

Child Passengers

  1. When travelling with an adult, children aged 4 – 14 years pay half price, and under 4 years travel free of charge.
  2. Ride Transfers will accept bookings for unaccompanied children (ages at our discretion).
  3. We must have paperwork consenting to travel for the unaccompanied child signed by a guardian prior to departure, and again by the designated person meeting the children on arrival.
  4. Each unaccompanied child will be charged at an adult rate.
  5. Ride Transfers do not provide car seats for children.
  6. If you are travelling with children, infants, or babies, you are welcome to use your own car seat or booster seat and will be required to install it into the Ride Transfers vehicle.
  7. We are happy to store your car seat or booster seat at our depot until your return at a cost of $20.00.

Animals

  1. Service animals are welcome on Ride Transfers vehicles. Please notify the presence of your service animal at the time you make your reservation.
  2. All other domestic pets may not be carried. We can provide contact details for alternative pet carriers.

Loss or Damage

  1. Loss or damage of your items or luggage through theft or negligence are not the responsibility of Ride Transfers.
  2. Ride Transfers recommends Travel Insurance for all passengers.

Dangerous Goods

  1. For safety reasons, articles classified as dangerous goods must not be carried in your baggage unless they have been advised in writing to Ride Transfers before travel, and they have been accepted for carriage in writing by Ride Transfers.
  2. These include but are not limited to: Loaded firearms, Corrosive materials (such as alkalis, acids, wet cell batteries, mercury), Explosives (fireworks and articles that are easily ignited), Flammable liquids and solids (such as heater fuels and flammable aerosols), Poisonous, toxic, or infectious substances, Compressed gases (deeply refrigerated, flammable, non-flammable, and poisonous), Other dangerous goods (such as offensive or noxious materials)

Modification of Terms and Conditions

  1. Ride Transfers reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions from time to time in its sole discretion, without notice or liability to you.
  2. You agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as modified.
  3. Please review the most current version of the Terms and Conditions from time to time, so that you will be apprised of any changes.
